Sounds like they’re trying come across as relaxed and casually unphased by your rejection. They’re backing off romantically and recognizing the friendship/social connection.

I've no issues with it but the obvious emphasis on bro really pissed me off to the point that I don't even reply after. I've had my share of rejections earlier but I've never seen guys I know or me personally react in such a way.

Is bro disrespectful? (Just curious)
Like, would it be better if they said dude or guy?
[–]stonecold199 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
It isn't but just repeatedly emphasising it just to incite a reaction is what bothers me. If I liked a girl I'd chin up and take a rejection instead of trying to act disinterested in such a weird way. I think everyone appreciate being genuine.(?)

You would think that- I certainly appreciate people being genuine.
Aside from trying to challenge you to a Bro Down , I don’t know what their deal is. Maybe they’re just kinda weird. Seems like a good call turning them down.

It isn't that man , I know I've done it myself. But consistently using the term at every sentence is an attempt to get under someone's skin I think.

I say “bro” all the time now, i guess it became a habit since my sister always called me bro
[–]Tokemoke 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
It annoys me very much when girls call me bro.
[–]stonecold199 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
I think it's a deliberate way to try to get under your skin, get your attention
[–]Tokemoke 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
If it is then it works haha I’m gonna call a girl out next time I get called bro
I just stop responding haha

Some of them are kinda tomboys so its natural to then, but most of the time is just a shit test to put you in the friend frame, deppending how you react to that, things get settled for her.

Are we inverting the roles here?

Don't get you.
