Coming off in a good joking manor like this intentionally asking something you genuinely feel is the wrong response when she intentionally swerved you. Take it with grace and pretend it didn't happen.

I don’t think she curved OP for any other reason then she doesn’t want to start texting someone after one night. If he sees her again I still think this is good advice. It shows he was thinking about her but could care less either way

I personally find texting or social media to be anything but friendly engagement and if she wasn't even wanting to do that clearly it's a sign to not pursue. Sure if they continue to hit it off in person it may progress but I wouldn't personally read any deeper into it. That's just my personal opinion with little to no real context other than if I got a fake number I would read between the lines.

The important thing is that you do not avoid this place because she could be there. Everything else is secondary. You don't know why the contact didn't work out. Don't plan what you will do, try to let the whole situation go instead. Spontaneously decide what you will do in case you see her again. If there again is some tension between the two of you, you can hit on her again. If there is no tension, but you find yourself in a friendly conversation with her, you can bring it up. If the situation feels unpleasant, you can ignore her. Just let go, put your focus somewhere else and don't avoid the place.
