I have recently been reading "The Game" by Neil Strauss. In the book, Neil Strauss takes on the persona of "Style" when he is picking up women, as I am sure most of you people know. I am intrigued by this, and I am considering possibly doing something similar. Are there any of you who have done this? What kinds of things does this entail? Specifically:

  • What issues arise when trying to keep yourself in character? I assume practice makes perfect, but is the practice worth it? Does the successes of the persona give the same feelings of risk/reward as the same successes of normal you?

  • What issues arise when switching personas around the same girl, showing more of the real you off? How different or similar should this persona optimally be?

I know you guys preach a lot of "be confident as yourself" and such, but I feel like this might add a whole new layer of fun to the game. Just give me what you guys think of feel on the matter.
