So I’m new at this, but tonight a buddy and I went out for a few drinks. We sat at a table in the bar section of this restaurant. We had a waitress, and she was cute and very attentive. I wasn’t there 10 minutes waiting for my buddy to arrive and she came up about 5 times trying to get me started on drinks or apps.

My buddy shows and and she is still coming by every few minutes. At one point we asked her opinion on something, and she seemed to be having fun. I went back and forth a little more, asking questions, doing Style’s cube routine, and just making fun of her and doing little jokes.

At the end of the night, I said “ you have been great, let me get you a drink” ( I know, technically a break in the code). She said “ I can’t drink at work”

Me: “Well then how about we go somewhere and grab a drink”

Her: “When?”

Me: “ you close in 20 minutes, how about tonight”

Her: “ I can’t tonight I have plans. Also, I just got out of a 5 year relationship and aren’t sure”

From here, I told her I just wanted to get a drink and get to know her a little better.

Her: “well, come back later this week, and maybe you’ll get lucky”

So I want to figure out how to do this better so I don’t get the same result in the future, and should I go back?
