An interesting thing happened to me this weekend so I thought I’d share.
I’m a decent looking dude and I dress well so on a good day I can reach as high as a 9.
The problem is that my confidence is RARELY there and I frequently deal with insecurities, anxieties, and issues of self esteem.
As a result, lately I’ve tended to only date or “go after” girls that wouldn’t be a challenge but were cute (6-7.5) range.
I can tell you honestly, shooting below my potential had a negative effect on me. I was unhappy with the girls I was with but so pigeonholed into thinking I “couldn’t get an 8+” that EVEN WHEN THEY SHOWED INTEREST, I assumed they’d see the real flawed me and I’d lose them immediately.
(That happened to me a lot growing up 👆🏽)
But going out to a bar with a friend Friday and dressing well, I approached a girl who would easily be a 9.5/10 while waiting for a drink at the bar. Had a good conversation, got the number, and hit her up a few days later.
We have loose plans to hang out in the new year but who knows.
The lesson is this:
Go for the girls (or dudes) you want. Not the ones who make it easy. If a hot girl shows interest in you, you’ve got the green light, be yourself, you won’t fuck it up. You do that long enough and YOU will be the guy with the hot GF (or vice versa).
It just takes one to bite and that will raise your sense of standards dramatically moving forward.
there doesn't seem to be anything here
