In iPhone there is the Contacts app. When you are asking a girl for her number hand her your phone, open the Contacts app, tap the plus sign in the upper right corner, and let her fill in the rest.

She will naturally fill in all the fields including her last name. It is a very effective way to get a girl's full name.
