I was watching a movie the other night.

The protagonist lays down a few witty well thought out lines to a girl he wishes to impress, to which the girl responds just as cleverly. The two then share a moment of silence and start making out, then sexing. While similar spontaneous romances have often occurred in more and more movies I've seen, I have never witnessed anything of that sort in real life.

At that moment I started questioning my perspective of reality. More specifically my knowledge on the structure and nature of relationships. Are there really people that, after barely meeting each other, have crazy, wild sex? How liberal are we in terms of sexuality and forming relationships?

Examples, analogies, metaphors, are welcomed in this thread. Just trying to scale how easy/hard it is to have sex. I kind of want to get rid of any anxieties I have in life regarding my sexuality while I'm still youthful, and need a completely accurate and practical perspective on dating, relationships, picking up girls, one night stands, and all of the sort.
