I haven't applied this myself, but I read it somewhere and sounds like a good idea.
You know Willy Beck? Basically his idea of escalation is simple. Two steps :
Take her hand and hold it, hold it for at least a minute or so.
Go for the kiss.
Basically when you're talking, find an excuse to hold her hand or just take her hand and hold it. An example of an excuse would be Hey how big is your hand? and put your two hands together then take it in your hand and hold it.
Then get real close, look her in the eyes, smile and mwaah.

Like /u/jacks_not_surprised said you need to just wait for any decent situation. It definitely does not need to be movie-esque or an amazingly romantic situation. If she begins talking about something she's passionate about in a positive way you can just say "wait" mid sentence and lean in for a kiss.
If she continues talking then act like it was nothing. If she asks why then say you think its cute the way she talks about X.
It basically comes down to understanding social congruency. Any moment that she does something that causes you to want to hold her hand, touch her or kiss her... just do it. Don't think, just feel the moment and make the move.
