Do you escalate without strong indications that she is sexually interested in you? (assume an indirect open at night)

I rarely do this as, it often just feels weird and I'm not sure how to get the ball rolling when I just haven't received any strong signs that she's into me

Some PUA theory says you only escalate after strong ioi's from her (her touching you and lingering eye contact and asking you if you have a girlfriend etc etc). Never before

Some PUA theory says that you should always 'assume attraction' and so, i'm assuming just escalate even without IOI's?

I typically don't have the balls to escalate on girls who aren't showing me interest, although I experimented last weekend. Opened a girl, chatted for a while, she was certainly engaged in the convo and asking me stuff, but I didn't feel that she was actually 'attracted' and more just thought I was fun and stuff as opposed to being hot.

As an experiment I escalated verbally and teased her a bit and hinted that she was cute, and it basically ended soon after and she ejected lol (So I can assume I ws right and she WASN'T attracted to me)

So do you escalate (verbally, physically, whatever) on girls who aren't making it obvious that they are into you? If so, how do you tend to do it?
