(for context, I am 23 and the girl is 21, and we are the same major at the same university)

So basically, there was this girl I was very good friends with. After a few months of hanging out almost every day I asked her out, but got rejected. A few weeks later she got lonely, came to my room at 1 in the morning drunk as hell, and we had sex. We went out for about 2 weeks, but then she kept her distance from me, and when I finally confronted her on it we have a huge fight, I said some really mean things and we broke up.

Fast forward 3 weeks later, I send an apology text and she apologizes for letting her personal issues get in the way as well and that we can still be friends.

Another 2 weeks later, she invites me snorkeling with another friend. The snorkeling went great and we hung out for around 12 hours. She talked a little bit about how her mom was staying overnight in the hospital for a minor surgery, and that she was bummed she had to be home alone. Then, when she drove us home she dropped off the other guy first, then took this suuuuuuper long road to my house even though she totally knows the short way, it took like 4x longer and she's lived in this area basically her whole life. Of course, I'm stupid and instead of inviting her in like she was basically asking me to do, I told her later.

The next week, I was throwing a small party and invited her. She acted like she was going to come for sure, and even made the effort to text me asking about what time it was at, and saying what time she would come.

She never showed up, but she was on instagram for hours past the time. I should have texted her that night, but the next day I texted her like "you fell asleep didnt u lol" and she just went "yep, next time".

I was really confused by this at first, but at the time I was just like "okay, let's hang out next time". Now I realize this was a test and I failed. What I should have done was text her at around 11 asking where she was, but I didn't wanna seem needy so I did nothing and waited till the next day.

It's very clear that lately she's been testing me, and I know she likes to fool around with guys, so I was so caught up in this friend thing that I didn't realize that she was still seeing me as an opportunity. I wouldn't go out with her again, but I would gladly sleep with her lol.

Anyways, there's a beer pong tournament our mutual friend is holding on saturday. A lot of our mutual friends are coming and it's near her house, so there's a good chance she'll come, however, there's about a 25% chance that she'll have gone out on friday and be too tired and pass on it. Should I send her the link to the details and be like "u going?" just to make sure she knows about it, or should I just leave it to the odds that she'll come and I can talk to her there?

We have mutual classes and I've done a good job of at least keeping minimum contact and being in her field of vision without clinging to her (basically only talking during groupwork), but I feel like if I drop the ball anymore than I have been the fire she's built up will burn out. I've known her for a long time and I can tell just by looking at the way she was behaving that there's a chance here, but the question is to text or not to text?
