Hey guys,

I'm writing this post to comment on my experiences from going to the LS Superconference earlier this month. I'll be completly honest in saying that I'v been a LS guy for a number of years. I like their stuff and their approach to it all and all the instructors that I have met personally, which after the superconference is pretty much all of them bar a few who had personal reasons on why they could not attend, have all been awesome guys who are willing to help anyone who is will put in the effort to work on themselves because that is what it all comes down to in the end, us putting in the effort.

Anyway so this year I decided to take the plunge and go to vegas and head to the superconference. I'm from australia so even the flights and accomadation it is a pretty big investment. So I went for the silver ticket (Access to all the talks/breakout rooms just no training in field) mainly due to the cost that i'd already be spending coming from australia.

First i'll break down the setup. There are two rooms that are always going on. One is talks and the other is breakout. The talk is as expected is one of the instructors talking about their topic of expertise. The other is a breakout room where the instructors work with us with particualar exercises (storytelling, body language, approaching, teasing, ect) and you have free reign to choose what you want to do based on what you feel that you need to practice/learn. Also anytime during this you are able to, within reason, go up to any instructor and ask him questions. Which to me was huge. I'm not much of a guy who asks many questions so a lot of times i would see a group of guys asking questions and i would just stand and listen and get a lot of information from questions that i never even thought of asking.

Now the infield, as i said the ticket that i bought didn't include infield training but that didn't worry me (for guys that want to know I saw that it was a 2-1 ratio for student-instructor ratio) because the other silver guys that i met were awesome and they all wanted the achieve the same thing as me. So I went out with them. Each night we went somewhere different. We went to Xs, surrender and marquee. So we got a range of different venues. We had a blast as we were constantly pushing each other into set and winging each other, ect. Now something that i didn't expect was that even though they didn't have to because we were silver the instructors who saw us out helped us. Now they didn't train us, watch us in set and all that but a few times i was walking round and one of the guys would go “hey what's going on, I see you wandering around. Open these girls. Hey, have you met my friend?” and walk away leaving me there to talk to the girls. Also at another point my state was starting to drop and I told that to one and he was like “ok first i want you to do a power pose, get a quick boost of testosterone. Ok good now do a silly dance with me. Get moving and break the process of losing your state” and after about 5mins i was back and opening again.

One of the best things about the whole superconference was being around all these guys who either wanted to teach or wanted to learn, it pushed mine and everyone elses game every night and it actually made it a lot harder to quit and go home. Honestly this was the most fun gaming that i'd ever had and I recommend it to anyone.
