I have known this girl for about a year now. We both go to the same university and have enjoyed mingling our friend groups together on weekends and sometimes to study on the week days. She even drove 3 plus hours to my house to hang out with me and some of my friends from school this summer. I genuinely enjoy talking to this girl and we share a lot of the same interests and hobbies. And there seems to be some sort of connection at least in my eyes. Every time she gets drunk she gets more touchy and always thanks god I’m there to the whole group. However, I can’t tell if I am in the friend zone because she told us about how she is talking to another guy. I am lost on how to get out of the friend zone or even just to communicate my feelings towards her. She is a really awesome person and even if I were to get rejected I would still want to be friends with her but i don’t know how to communicate my feelings without making things awkward.
