I got separated recently after being married for 10 years and I was never a PUA before that. I have been reading the TRP for about 2 months if that. was working as a bouncer for a private party at a club. It was really quiet so I took some time to chat up the barmaid in her late twenties, early 30s. We were having some laughs and I tried to use a little light kino and eye contact. So it is the end of the night. I grab a pen and paper and say to her "I want your number so I can take you out". She gives it to me. I text her straight away (to check if it is a legit number) and leave a friendly message.

Next day I text her and say, "I have a few errands to do in town on Sunday but I have a little time in the afternoon. Meet me at x pool bar at 1.00. I will even let you hustle me ;)
She replies 20mins later ”I'm working Sunday and just so it isn't awkward I have a boyfriend.".

I reply, "congratulations :) Pick a better day and time."

She replies "I currently don't know what next week is like. I have to wait for my boss to let me know. (I am a casual )."

"OK" I reply. I leave it at that.

She replies, "I should know by the end of the week.".

Next message from her "but I think my colleagues annual leave is finished so I should be free next week."

I haven't replied back yet but I was pretty pleased with the result. The ups I am giving to myself is that after a long time out of action I was confident enough to approach, use kino, and number close. I think I also passed a shit test and hopefully didn't come across as desperate or needy AND it seems like the girl is interested. Woohoo. Things I need to work on are being more confident implementing kino although I did OK on the German tourist.
