So I did a cold approach today for the first time, the opportunity just presented itself. I saw this cute girl while coming home from work but decided to just ignore her and go the apartment grocery store like I planned. The store was closed, I turned around and she was walking by, gave me a smile and she said yeah they’re closed, it sucks. I asked if she knew why, then had a light convo. Midway, I just figured I should go for it. She said she actually didn’t like guys. Told her it was okay, talked a bit more, then exchanged numbers (I’m new to the cities and always down to make friends).

I was proud of myself for about 2 mins, then went about my day. I have seen so many posts here about people being in some form of bliss after making that first leap and I’m just confused why I don’t feel that excited.

I hope to do again soon but ngl lie, the excitement of doing the first was not as great as I expected (and I’m not disappointed to be rejected, Ive understood nobody has to like you back since I was a kid, so my lack of excitement is definitely not due to that)

Now in the convo itself, I do feel like I could’ve been more confident. But I’m sure I’m over analyzing cause I made her laugh a few times
