Context: im 5'8 latino. I've been told I look like a f-boi/ladies man (I'm really not, I've been on a dry spell for a good year). The girl I approached was also latina and I approached her right after class was over today.

The approach: I started by going up to her, saying hey, then introducing myself. Then after I started to ask her generic questions like do you like the class we're in, whats your favorite subject, and do you speak spanish. She reciprocated on a couple. Then I finished off with "can I have your number" and got immediately rejected. Her words were "no, sorry" she was nice about it and I just said "alright" and we parted ways. I've never done a cold approach like this before. Most of my gfs and/or flings have been through social media/texting and the rare social circle.

Goals: I hope that now it turns into some sort of domino effect and I start having more confidence to approach girls I like because I want to be in control of my destiny and not let my love life just be up to chance.

Things that helped me get over my approach anxiety: Before class was over I asked the guy that sits next to me "do you think I can get her number" and he said yes and gave me some pointers so that helped give me some confidence. Also I read on here that girls like the attention and see you as a cool confident guy even if you get rejected so I thought of that. I've also been working on myself tremendously.

As corny as it sounds "You miss 100% of the shots you don't take"
