Long story short, I'm going on a date tonight with a girl I've known for a while, but this will be our first date. It's also my first "adult" date...ever. I've done all the high school shit but this is different.

I'm a little nervous but not too bad because I've known this chick for a while. Once we get going I think I'll be fine.

I'm just writing this because I'm a little worried about screwing things up. What are the written and unwritten rules of a first date? Do I go up to the door at her house to get her? Who pays for things? etc... etc... I've already made my first mistake by asking her to think of where she wants to go tonight instead of just taking charge.
