I was walking around the local mall downtown, just killing time, and I come across a sale at one of my favorite stores. I stop in to see if there's anything I want and, lo and behold, there it is, right behind the counter. Solid HB7. Got a little bit (lot) of a nerdy look to her. She greets me and we break into small talk. Turns out that we like a lot of the same things, and I let her lead the conversation. Asking questions about what she said, things that genuinely interested me. I come from the same town that hosts a rather large convention. One she will be attending next year. First things first, I make my purchase, with help, selecting what to get a friend for his birthday. As a side note, I offer to show her around town next year. Being a local, I know the best spots. How should I take that? Was I interpreting the signals wrong? Or is that a valid replacement for a number?
