It has been quite a while since I've posted here, but a lot has happened in a short time. More than anything else, I have put time, and effort into cleaning myself up, and getting on good terms with myself. I got into an elite program at school, and thoroughly enjoy what I do. This has lead to a major confidence boost in my everyday life.
After taking this well needed break from seduction, I went out with a friend last night in order to celebrate recent events in our lives. We decided to go to a local club/bar which usually is full of local students, and i decided my goals were 3 fold. 1) talk to as many people as I can, 2) try and maintain eye contact with any of the people I talked with, and most importantly 3) have fun.
The night started off well enough. The space was not one I am normally comfortable with, and I feel as if it showed. I reminded myself through the night, that I needed to get used to uncomfortable situations as sometimes you need to face these to grow. Me, and my friend watched the crowds from above the floor for a little while, before I decided we needed to get involved. I wonder if it is possible that some people might have noticed this before we went downstairs.
I started off a lot of conversations with people using the "Cheers!" method. gauging interest by their responses, and there were quite a few who were enthusiastic in their responses. The problem was finding something after the initial responses. Several people exchanged names/majors, no numbers though. It always seemed to come back to me asking "Are you having fun tonight?" I need to find a way to keep the conversation going without using that phrase because, it only leads to dead ends in conversation.
How do you guys keep conversations going after initial contact? Better yet, how do you carry yourself in an environment that specializes in non verbal communication? What things to people look for at that point.
All the technical stuff: Its easier to hold eye contact than a few months ago. I find that I actually enjoy seeing all the different eye colors out there. Kino was elementary in the fact that I need to step it up a little more. Small handshakes, and light shoulder touching, but not much more outside of that. Body communication needs some work, because this wasn't a huge talking atmosphere.
TL;DR School created confidence, Went out to celebrate. Experimented with eye contact, and kino. Conversation needs work. No #close, No f-close. wasn't aiming for that.
there doesn't seem to be anything here
