My roommate decided to come along with me last night as a wing. He loves hitting on women. Unfortunately he is a bit of a liability. He is the kind of guy who has zero shame and will croon "hey beautiful girls, where are you going? Come with us!" at any pretty women who walk by. The usual response (in fact I haven't seen another response yet) is "fuck off". It is embarrassing but I let it pass since he is a fun guy in most other ways and his strange brew of shameless enthusiasm works in some cases.

We went to the first bar and it was dead so we searched for free drinks. The first club offers free sangria so we enter but there were 3 other people on the bar. We finish our free drinks and as we leave are offered free beers to enter another bar. Inside are 4 girls, dressed like they are looking to party but sitting with bored faces in the corner. He knows I have tons of courage for approach and tells me to open them. No problem for me, I open and get 2 of the girls talking. He is able to get one girl talking but the one I am with I just can't get interested in. I'm feeling sick to my stomach. I had eaten a huge meal before going out and I was regretting it. Still, their response was mediocre but we didn't get blown out. The two not involved with the conversation obviously felt left out and there were zero other people in the bar for them to talk to. They finished their free drinks and left.

We went back to the first bar. I was feeling even more sick. A woman I met last Thursday arrives at the bar, HB6. She sees me, seems really happy to see me, comes straight over and opens me. Her guy friend sees me and I say hello but he is a bit stand-offish this time, he doesn't come to join our group. She starts talking to me and I'm touching her arm lightly. I see him from the other group and he's watching me interact with this girl and giving me a bit of stink-eye. She is reciprocating with the touches too. When she introduces me to her "best-friend" the friend says they want to leave. HB6 looks at me and asks if I am going to stay for a while, implying that she will stay. I brush it off and say we won't stay long so she changes her plan to leave with her friends instead. I was feeling too sick to entertain and I am not sure I have high interest in her.

We stand around a while commenting on how the place is 4:1 ratio of guys to girls. Every woman has a crowd of dudes surrounding her. My roommate tries to open random women who walk by but has zero success. A group of 3 girls enter and end up standing on their own towards the back. I get sent in to open them. They are nice at first but are about to blow us out "looking for their friend". Two of them start to walk off but my roommate plows with one of them and doesn't hook her so much as he delays her using persistence. He just vomits words for about 1 minute and the other two are standing waiting. Then, one, an HB6.5 and about 5'2" comes back and stands right next to me. I start to chat with her and it is weird because verbally she seems disinterested but physically she has very open body language (facing me, arms at her sides, touching her hair, wide eyes and dilated pupils, good eye contact). She is talking like she is disinterested but she is staying close to me and she is keeping the conversation going. Eventually my roommate loses the other girl and starts a pathetic "don't leave me" pretend crying routine. Even when her friends are leaving the HB6.5 lingers by me a little bit longer.

Strange night for me. I think it was last Tuesday where a HB7.5 was giving me verbal interest but really bad body language. Yesterday was the opposite with zero verbal interest and great body language. I prefer the latter. Feels good again to get some obvious attraction (from the HB6 and HB6.5) even though I didn't get to escalate. One huge take-away is the importance of physical comfort when in field. I was so full of food I was throwing up a bit in my mouth when I burped. I felt so ill I could barely wait to get home. I wasted a good night out and two good attractions because I wasn't prepared.
