I'm on my throwaway account, but yesterday night was weird as hell to me, considering that this was my most successful cold approach yet.

I was supposed to meet up with my friends at the club, but I was running late. I was still in time to catch the last bus of the night (around 10:30), so I thought that I would manage. Immediately upon arriving at the bus stop, I notice a HB8 who looked bored to death. She was the only person there.

From around 5 metres away I had already established solid eye contact with her, and I made sure to smile as well. She broke it first, so I immediately asked her if the bus had already passed or not. Apparently she had been there for a whole half hour, and we spoke briefly about the messed up bus schedule. Then I proceeded to introduce myself, and went for the extended handshake. After exchanging names, I asked her if she was from around these parts as I never saw her before. This transitioned into a conversation about university, majors and dreams (pretty standard stuff) which made her pretty relaxed and at ease. I kept teasing her about random shit, and she kept punching me playfully in the arm, which was a good sign. But the bus was still no where to be seen.

She made an attempt to call her friends so maybe they could give us a lift, but they were already at the club (apparently we were going to the same place). Just when she hung up, I noticed a roach crawling on the street next to us. This opportunity was a great excuse to use some great kino, as I held her close and playfully told her not to scream. She was terrified of it (aren't all women?), and she hung onto me. The roach eventually went away, and seeing that she was receptive of all my advances so far, I decided this was my chance. She told me, " Is it gone?", to which I replied, "Wait" (thanks seddit!), and went for the kiss.

She surely wasn't expecting that, but she went with it. Seeing that the bus still hasn't came and both of our nights were "ruined", we both called our friends and apologised that we missed the bus. With both of us having nothing to do, I took her hand and lead her to the local park for an instadate, where many fun times were had. While me made our way there, she kept telling me that I was the most confident guy she ever met and that this situation was like an adventure to her. Later into the night, we ended up at her place for the close. Not a bad change of plans eh?

TLDR; Roaches are god level wingmen.
