Having gone to the gym and done my reading and writing for the day I had to get out of the house. It's golden week and a beautiful day and I have to be part of it. I should mention now that I just moved to my second city in Japan about a month ago.

The last of my errands was going to one of my favourite cafes. Earlier than day they posted a picture to instagram of some drinks and I had to try one. Later I found that it was coffee soda.

As Mark Manson says, go to the places you like as that's where you'll find the girls you like. Towards the end of my drink a cute Japanese girl walks in. I notice glance up at me a couple of times but I keep reading my book. She sits at the table opposite me.

I notice she has a record with her that she just bought. So I ask her what she bought.

Now my Japanese is pretty garbage but I can hold a simple conversation. I've been studying half heartedly for about a year and a half. Most of what I have learnt has been in pubs.

She smiled and excitedly showed me a Battles record and talking about the Math Rock, Blues and Rockabilly she loves. I invited her to my table and we talked about our favourite things in the city and so on.

We hit on two of my huge loves music and coffee. Though we differ in music taste the passion shows and there is some crossover.

We exchanged instagrams and I said that I'm going to an event tonight. I'll leave it to her if she wants to come. I know I'll see her again.

From where I used to be game wise and now is night and day. In the past I have been incredibly depressed, anxious, unhealthy and unfashionable. I find the girls are approaching me indirectly and I'm seeing the signs and pulling the trigger. Earlier in the week it was gym girl and now music girl. Next week my Kyoto girl is coming to visit.

Shit maybe too much humble bragging but I want to be an inspiration to you.
