Today I decided to get out of the house to go uptown and socialize. A few minutes to the bus stop I see this girl walking down the street with a backpack and a purse. Before I could be approach her this old man with a cane walked in front of me. He and his cane took up the whole sidewalk. So I shrugged it off and went across the street and got to the bus stop. Luckily she was also taking the same stop, so I took this opportunity to say hi . As we began talking it turns out that Ashley was headed to work at a hooka lounge. Built rapport on how some of her costumers started fighting. Smooth and clean conversation overall. When the bus comes, I sit next to her but the subjects just start to meet dead ends. (For example, I make a joke about a church being on every corner, she smiles and the conversation trails to her being in born Atlanta. I asked why she was here and she said it was because she moved here with her dad. I really didn't want to build conversation about that.) Then there were pauses in the conversation because I didn't have anything to say. So I simply took the few moments of silence and waited until I had a topic and continued the conversation. In the meantime she would switch to the phone do random things. I would begin the topic after she put the phone away. Body language was positive. Tired but positive. I asked for a pen and her number, but she said 'Normally I would but just not today.' Translation: 'No.' I still smiled and said it was nice meeting you and spend the rest of the day doing small interactions.

TR:LD Daytime interaction with a girl at the bust stop and on the bus. Asked for number, but was denied. Spent the rest of the day doing small approaches. Which was basically complementing random women on what they were wearing.
