This is my first field report for 10/09/2014. The Play:

I would look for a girl and once I have spotted my target I would approach her and ask her where x building was. I of course knew exactly were this building was and was just using it as an excuse to talk to her. I purposely chose a building on the other side of campus so I could chat her up while she showed me where the building was. The conversation would go something like this:

Me: Hi do you knoww where the Q building is?  Her: Yeah I do it’s right over there. *points to the direction of the Q building*  M:  I’m bad with directions, do you mind showing me where it’s at?  H: Sure, follow me.

We would talk abit while we were walking. Once we got there the conversation would go like this:

M: Thanks for showing me where the Q building is, You think I could show you my appreciation by buying you a cup of coffee sometime?  H: Sure.  M: Can I give you my number so we can set up the met?  H: Sure.

I give her my number and she calls my phone. We talk for a bit more and I head on my way.

Problem: I used this technique several times through out the day and got several numbers this way. Since they called my phone I have their number, but I have no way of putting the name to the number. So how do I go about getting their name without sounding like a forgetful jackass?

Also any help or advice on what I could do better next time would be apptreciated. :)

Edit: Apparently I can't find any of the numbers in my phones call log. Anyway I can get those numbers back? If not at least it was good practice.
