First real FR like this. So this happened this past Saturday. I had a rugby match during the day and the other team hosted a drink up. It was a very relaxed atmosphere, and I was able to get in state for later in the night by practicing openers and conversation threading without any pressure due to the lack of girls. By the time we got back on campus I was already warmed up and feeling great.

My roommate and I decided to go up to a friends room to pre-game. It was a mixed 10 set, and I already knew everybody there. I got to practice threading a bit, but here I focused on my biggest weak point: kino. I still pretty awkward doing it, but I made an effort to do as many light shoulder touches as I could. One that actually felt pretty natural was putting a hand on somebody's shoulder while holding up my beer for a cheers. An HB7 was sitting on a bed, so I went up to her and asked her to give me her hand (compliance test) and then told her to give me a twirl. As she was spinning I slid in behind her and stole her seat, and she just laughed and sat down on my lap instead. I made an excuse to get up after a couple of minutes and started kino'ing another HB7. She was teasing me about my cowboy hat so I told her that if she didn't stop being so rude I'd have to punish her. She asked how I planned to do that, so I quickly picked her up and flipped her upside down. I threw her around for a bit with her laughing and then put her back down and entered another set right away. After a bit more of this, we decided to walk over to a party. On the way, the first HB7 was walking next to me so I just held out my arm without saying a word, expecting her to grab it. When she did, I told her "That's all you get though so don't try anything funny." and she started laughing and pouting. The other HB7 was on my other side, so I held out that arm and told her "Here, you can be my other piece of arm candy so you're not left out." and she linked arms me with as well. As a result, I lead into the party with two attractive girls on my arms and had immediate social cred with everyone who watched us enter.

At the actual party, the mixed group I came with left for another party. A lot of my friends were already at the one I was at, so I decided to stay. I went to the dance floor, and after dancing with a group I knew for a bit, started dancing outrageously near other sets of girls until they opened up and let me in. Keep in mind, I can't actually dance. The DJ was playing house, so I was doing things like over-exaggerated hip thrusts and other funny dance moves. I didn't care if I looked stupid, I was having a lot of fun and my energy was contagious. I was being different than all the other guys, who just kept trying to grind. That's what worked for me. Whenever I took a girls hand and spun her and started mock partner dancing with her she loved it. Always do what nobody else is doing. I saw a really shy looking HB6 standing on the outside of the dance floor, so I walked up, took her hand and told her to stop being antisocial. She came out and started dancing with me, and after a bit I drew her in and asked if she wanted to kiss me. She nodded so I kissed her, pulled away, and started dancing outrageously again.

I had enough of dancing for a while, so I moved to the other room where there were a lot of mixed sets standing around. My AFC buddy was there, trying to pea-cock with a Hawiian shirt (bless his heart) but he was too scared to talk to anybody he didn't know. I had told him about game, (he knew I used my cowboy hat to pea-cock which is where he got the idea for the shirt) and he asked me to prove to him that it works. I told him word for word what I was going to stay and then had him watch me open up a few mixed sets. I used some pretty standard indirect openers to show him how easy it was. One set I opened up with the jealous girlfriend opener, another with floss opener, and another with is it cheating opener. He wasn't feeling confident enough to open a group by himself, so I had him enter as a wing. Once I opened each set, he walked in and greeted me, and I introduced him as the only guy on campus able to pull off a Hawaiian shirt. I demonstrated some routines I've had success with. One was the best friends routine, and the girls were actually sisters. We negged them a bit about that, and moved on to a new set. These girls had really obvious tattoos so I told my buddy to walk up and rub the one on a girls arm and tell her that it looked fake. Worked great to open with, and opened up a bunch of kino while they showed us their tattoos. Inb4 anybody complains about me using Mystery method. You may not like it, or may consider it outdated, but I love it. It works for me. For me personally, I love to be prepared. Having a prepared thing that I'm going to say completely eliminates AA for me. It makes me feel more confident, and once I use it to open, I can let my natural game take over.

At this point, I had a lot to drink, so my memory gets pretty fuzzy. A few days earlier, I had told my friend to bring her HB8 friend to a party I was at because I thought that she was cute and hadn't ever seen her out. Sure enough, my friend arrives at the party with the HB8. To be honest, I don't completely remember the introduction. I do remember talking to the HB8 though and remember her giving me a shit test. It was something along the lines of having seen me talk to all the girls at the party and me being a player. I told her that it was all an act and that I had actually never even kissed a girl before. She laughed and said that she had never kissed a guy either, so I told her that there's a first time for everything and kissed her. That's about all I remember for a bit. Next wave of memories, I remember leaving the party and seeing her talking to my buddy. I walked over to them and opened him with my back slightly turned to her, chatted for a second and mentioned that I was leaving. I shook his hand, then turned around and kissed her again. Then it goes black.

Moral of the story, don't get blackout drunk. I could probably have done a lot more than just k-close, and at the very least I would have remembered to #-close, had I been more sober. I ended up back home alone because of it, but I still had more fun that night then I have since I broke up with my girlfriend. Advice and comments are welcome!
