Some background info about me; I'm a virgin with little experience with girls (i.e. I've gone as far as kissing), I'm a pretty athletic guy, in the gym 5x a week, training for powerlifting. My worst sticking points are approaching and physical escalation, but I beat one of them today!

So it was about 10am in the morning, I was on my way to the gym and somewhat feeling good. Just as I was approaching the gym I see this blonde girl, a little shorter than me wearing this really bright blue coloured dress. She walked past me and BOOM, approach anxiety kicked in, I started walking towards the gym, but for some reason I thought to my self "You know what, fuck it, if I get rejected then I'll never see this girl again!". SO I started walking in her direction at this point, I noticed that she had her ear phones in and I was behind her, my little dick of a voice in my head saying "don't bother dude", with me saying back "go fuck yourself" (in my head, of course).

At this point I was following her, and I called myself out on being creepy, so thought "get it over with". I remembered the three famous words "Just do it" and tapped her shoulder, she turned and her expression was fucking awful but I maintained frame.

I said hi, told her I saw her and thought she was cute and introduced myself. Her expression went from confused to happy (at this point all of my AA was gone). Then she showed me her ring finger, she was engaged! We both laughed about it, it wasn't even awkward, she told me I made her day and I told her to have a good one.

In essence I got rejected, but she was taken. I didn't give a shit and I felt like a God afterwards. The thing I realised was the lack of fucks that came from anyone around us, and I made someone's day!

As the title implies this is my first [FR] ever, so based on my initial experience with "beating" AA, take the approach this way:

  • Nobody will care what you do, they have their own lives.
  • For every girl you approach, you're making their day a little bit better; so why care if they reject you?
