I'm new to this kind of thing. Always considered myself little to not emotional, but something changed in me with this girl. Yesterday i was kind of freaking out for not knowing how to proceed with the 'relationship', and also for feeling like that over a girl.

Anyway i asked her out yesterday to take a walk through a park near her place. We were talking a lot at first, but then it came the expected "awkward" silence. She remarked on this by saying "Do you like bread?" Apparently a friend told her once that in the event of an "awkward" silence she should ask that. I just laughed.

I have been quoting the word awkward, because the next time a silence happened, i remembered that scene in pulp fiction, where Mia says something like "... When you can just shut up and not be uncomfortable, that's when you know you've met someone special..." With this in mind i noticed that i wasn't feeling awkward just walking side by side with her in utter silence. I told her that a silence is not necessarily awkward, you can perfectly be quiet just admiring the view and enjoying the company.

The date went very well i believe, and i hope to keep seeing this girl. The thing is, as i said, this is all new to me, so i hope I don't screw it up.

This isn't one of those "I k-closed a girl in a bar" kind of story. I just wanted to share this experience and thank the community who have made me much more approachable and social, which i clearly needed too get to this point with girls.
