Some Quick Details
18 years old. Still in high school.
As of late I have been making a lot of changes in my life, including NoFap. As a result of all these changes and how they are positively affecting me, I have been a lot happier and have felt more motivated and confident within the past few days.
The FR
I work a part-time job at a local video game arcade and laser tag arena. We mainly get a lot of little kids coming through the place, but we occasionally get some pretty good looking girls coming through the door as well. Yesterday, was a very active day and many girls were coming in too. I have finally had enough of just sitting around watching and not going out and being proactive and outgoing. So I finally decided yesterday I was going to talk with one of these girls.
She played three games of laser tag. In the first game I helped her out by just asking her if she had used one of the power-ups, a shield. She said no and without thinking I said here and pressed the button on the chest of the vest to turn it on. I told she now had a shield and to go tag people! The next game I found her curled up in a corner with her friends near by and she was trying to turn the shield on. I laughed a little and said "Looks like you're out of shields and sitting there in the fetal position won't save you! Come on." I then helped her out a bit and took her gun and tagged a bunch of people for her. Third game I told her I was going to get her first place. Asked her her name, and introduced myself while shaking her hand. She was putting down some IOIs smiles and eye contact. I am not a fan of negs, but I used a light one as well. Teased her a bit, she was smiling and laughing the whole time.
Finally I went upfront to the lobby after her last game, handed out the score sheets, and told her I was disappointed that she didn't come in first place. She laughed a little more and then I said this:
Me: Alright here's what is going to happen, we're going to exchange numbers!
Her: (laughing) What?
Me: Yeah! We're going to exchange numbers!
Her: No we aren't!
Me: Why not?
Her: Because I don't know you.
Me: Well then how am I supposed to get to know you?
Her: Not like that...
Me: Well alright. Just one question, is there someone else?
Her: Umm, yeah.
Me: Well, alright, good job anyway! (walking away)
Her: Thank you! (smiling)
Overall, even though I got rejected in this case. I was definitely happy that I had found the confidence and motivation to approach. I had a lot of fun doing this as well and once I got going, most of my nervousness just disappeared! The place I work at is definitely a good spot for practice and I could definitely do this again. I also saw a lot of room for improvement, but this is just the beginning of something big.
I look forward to any feedback the community has to provide, and would appreciate it.
Thank you.
