It's been a frustrating and long three weeks of trying to cope with AA and get to the small accomplishment I had today. Anyways, I should mention I work at home, so it's exceedingly difficult meeting new people. Luckily, I live in a pretty lively area- or walking distance to.
Around afternoon, I take my usual walk down to the ethnic market a little less than a mile away to get an early dinner. I've been trying to work on daygame, as it's much more difficult for me to approach girls up/down street than it is at the bar. I throw a few compliments to some women walking opposite me, stuff like, 'you still got it going on!'. I realized older women love shit like this. This lady in a black and white pin dress smiled and laughed as she passed.
As I cross the intersection, I notice a very cute girl rushing over as well, and I open by stating something about the cars and how it's easy to get run over or something stupid like that. Anyways, ended up talking about cars and lawsuits for like a minute until she parted ways into this convenience store... I was kicking myself for fucking that up. Anyways, I had a horde of AA problems in the grocery store and was about to walk back to my apartment feeling like shit. But coincidentally after I bought my shit at the grocery store and walking back, I see her sitting on the outdoor patio of a coffee shop and I say, 'hey! you're the intersection girl! How're you doing. I forgot to tell you I thought you were really cute'
I felt so much less nervous when she responded by getting all flustered. After that line, I got her to open up way more after that, and I was able to talk to her much more about her job and goals in the future, and after 5 ish minutes finally asked for her number to get coffee sometime. She hesitated, "uhhh... sure",
I hear the hesitation and respond by saying, "it's okay if you're not interested, just be straight with me. You won't give me a wrong number will you?" At this point I'm teasing the shit out of her, saying I don't want to text some random person. Anyways, I finally got her number and texted her later, and we're about to lock down a day for our coffee date!
I felt like a boss. That was the most successful pick up I've had in a very socially neutral spot. Although I'm still a bit hard about a few other equally cute girls I chickened out on talking to while walking around and in the grocery store. Anyways, I need to keep this momentum up, there is a ton of opportunities out there to work on my game.
