This will be a short FR, but a necessary one about soloing. I was very hesitant about going out by myself tn but I decided fuck it I'm gonna go out.

Backstory: My coworkers band was playing at a pub about 15 minutes from my house, he invited me and after bailing a number of times I said I'm going no matter what. A few of my boys ended up bailing and my other friends are wifed up or lame. I told myself I'm going out no matter what. I left around 10:30, listened to good music on the way and was ready to go.

I got to the bar ordered a beer and sat down to enjoy some live music (I'm a musician). Chilled for about two beers and stood up after some clown was dancing very, very drunk. Opened my first 3set (2 girls, 1 AFC) asked them how much they thought that guy had to drink made very little small talk then hit the bar again. Sat down at the same place diggin my coworkers music, they end in about 3 songs and we go outside for a cig. Start chatting with the band members and vibe out for a bit. They know a couple girls inside who I wasn't feeling from the get go, oh well might as well chat. Get back outside open a few of them with the "do you have lighter?" for a cig. We start chatting when this girl starts talking with me about the area, etc. We talk for about 10 mins and I tell her I'm gonna go finish my beer inside while she stays outside, talk a bit with some people inside then come back out, she's still there (score). So we continue the conversation and my friend and the band are on the way out. I tell her to drive me to my car thats somewhat close by. We pull up to the car, and we go through talking a bit and I pull out her phone and tell her to put my number in. Immediately after she does I go in for the K-close, 0 resistance we end up making out for about 20 minutes and I head out on my way.

Important Notes: I WAS NEVER asked if I'm there alone not even til close, like I was worried about, but this might be due to the in that I had with the band members (so might be a little bit biased).

The bar was pretty dead so I can only imagine how it would have worked in a packed place. I would imagine it would have been MUCH easier.
