Recently I've became much more active on Tinder and a few other internet dating sites; I still try to pick up women IRL (and it's not all that hard really), but the Tinder really gives you that feeling of abundance. FYI I'm an average looking guy in my early 30's, fairly overweight (even though it's way better than it used to be), and I'm dressing somewhat conservatively with little style. Gonna change it soon, but that's another story.

I've been to a 5-6 dates, and every time I fell like "I don't think there's any connection between me and that girl". Well, the reason was simple, I wasn't screening for my "type" of woman. Like, BMI<=22, and under 5'5. So i decided to focus on those parameters first and screen who am I writing to, but at the same time expand the age bracket to include older women (say, 5 my senior). Today I've been to two dates. One was fairly uneventful, if nice and with prospects for the next one, the next one though... The girl is in her mid 30's, looks like mid 20's at most. Cute. A bit shy, a bit reserved.

A few things I did well today: 1) made sure I'm in an good, energy-loaded mood (training before the date) 2) set it up for pretty late evening 3) Looks like drink bar is a good choice. Cafes are much more friendly, drink bar IS sexual by its nature. No to mention a little bit of C2H5OH always helps. Reminder: a little bit. 4) Sofa is your best friend. Don't worry you'll look like a creep, sitting next to each other is actually pretty natural. If things go sour, you can always keep your distance. The thing is, across the table closing the distance can be horribly awkward. 5) kino, kino, kino. Practice makes perfect. Don't rush things, but making her comfortable with your touch is CRU-CIAL. Arm, hand, the thigh closer to you (on the sofa it's almost too easy), pull her to whisper a comment about something to her ear, let your hand linger a little bit to long after passing her a drink. Give a high five for something you've got in common. This shit works. After a bit of escalation check how she behaves when you put your arm around her or play with the hair. If she's ok with that, you are on a path to success. 6) eye contact. This was actually pretty easy, she has truly beautiful eyes. Slowly increase the length and intensity. 7) let her talk. And be genuinely interested in what she says. I had to guide the convo a few times to get into the things that I had interest in.

She was pretty shy, so I was waiting for the right moment, with as little audience as possible. Short elevator ride. Deep look in the eyes. "Did someone told you recently how beautiful you are"? "well..." (she thinks what to say, and before she finds the answer i take the lead), "well girl, you truly are", and go for a kiss. Works. It wasn't a deep kiss. But a kiss both parts enjoyed, and were involved in nonetheless. Since then everything changes, holding hands, hugging, everything get's much more natural and straightforward. It was a very good and educational evening. Looking for much more of those.
