Ok, so I just wanted to give people a heads up that just making a passing compliment to someone really does help. For example, the first couple weeks of classes if I noticed a cute girl that had a cool shirt on I'd simply say, "I like your shirt," as we passed each other. It didn't turn into a conversation, she would normally be like "This shirt? Really? Thanks," or something along those lines.

Anyway, I didn't think of the incident again, didn't even really remember who I said that to but sure enough girl have come up to me at parties and said, "Hey, I'm *****, you said you liked my shirt, remember?"

So guys, if you see someone wearing a cool shirt, hat, bag, anything, say something! You don't have to worry about a conversation or anything, just casually compliment it.
