I've never claimed to be a pro on seduction (I really don't think anyone is, but that's a different story). However, I guess my complaint has more to do with the recent organization of the seddit community. They took a subreddit with almost 20k subscribers and made it into story time. Why not put the stories in some other subreddit and keep the real discussion in the original subreddit?

Hah! That video clip was awesome, I think we're all guilty of that every now and then. Your experience sounds pretty standard, it's certainly not easy making meaningful conversation with strangers, I'm glad you did it though.

"Hi I walked by and couldnt help myself noticing you are very pretty. But beauty is common, unless you have a personality to match it. I would love to talk to you a bit and see if you are one of the rare type" I must be out of the loop...do girls really like these types of openers? It seems incredibly pretentious.

What happens in my personal life doesn't have anything to do with the advice I give. I firmly stand by what I said earlier. This PUA stuff is a business, and whoever is running it is making money lots of money off of it. I refuse to give them a dime. Not saying that they don't have good advice, but there are free alternatives usually.

Because all it takes to get a woman is a pair of balls. PUAs want you to think differently so they can keep filling their pockets with your money.

The HB scale is stupid and I would advise all girls to ignore it. From what I've seen, it's used on here only as a form of "internet bragging", because you know, what people on the internet think of you is very important

Yeah, it's important to plant seeds. At least get a name and acquaint with the person, so if the initial meeting doesn't really give you an opportunity to move things forward, maybe a subsequent meeting will. You just have to be good with faces/names, cause there may be a time you see someone across a room and think "Do I know her? What was her name?"

Yes, it could. Or just nervousness in general. I think we're all aware that a lot of girls simply don't have much self-confidence.

I like this theory a lot, thanks!

On the other hand, they're young and if you're at a university that attracts perfectionists, they may have focused on their studies to the exclusion of learning social interaction with men. I go to a top 25 USNews ranked university (if that means anything). So this could certainly be true. I really didn't become very social until my last year anyway, unfortunately =\

To all those wondering whether or not seddit has become a giant circlejerk, let this thread be exhibit #1

I've been critical of this subreddit for a while now, but I still come here for a few reasons. Mainly because there is a lot of good information floating around, you just have to sift through all the bullshit to find it. I completely agree that seddit is a huge circlejerk, and so is the PUA online community to an extent. But there is a lot that can be taken away from reading through things like this, whether you're a guy or a girl. Another thing I want to make clear (especially to the girls): No…

I'm eternally at a mix of all 5 stages...I think everyone is too, it's too hard to generalize like that. Anyway, being an attractive female is certainly one of the best life advantages available, especially if you have some intelligence.

I think PUA is simply too complicated for its own good. You end up reading up on too many guides/strategies/whatever, but really all it takes is A) lots of approaches and B) confidence. Develop some self-respect, get some confidence, start approaching girls, and you'll find success eventually. There's really no two ways around it.

I like that you said this is not an attack yet people still respond as if it was. To be honest, I really just find this to be a common mindset among PUAs. I think if people stepped off their high horse they could see that they're really not so special.

What a ridiculous thread. I'm sick of some of you arrogant, egostical PUAs (notice I said some, not all). First off, you haven't changed shit. Second, there are plenty of ways to master the game of seduction. In fact, I guarantee there are plenty of men who pull more (and hotter) ass than you do and haven't read a damn seduction book in their lives. You know why? Because PUA is not the only method! There are some guys who go into bars and talk to girls like he would anyone else he just met and g…
