So I went to a house party tonight. Its pretty small, well not really. But I know all the usuals, and have good social proof there because almost everyone knows me. So I get there and the place is packed, which is alright. I'm not a huge fan of overcrowded places. Since its close to Halloween, there are a few people in costume (I am not one of them). So I'm there, trying to have a good time without depending to much on alcohol, and in walks a trio of pretty fair looking girls, who are not usuals there. One of them is dressed in a moderate demon costume, one was catwoman, and one was just wearing a black dress.

So I'm instantly interested in catwoman, for some reason or another. I got a little bit of approach anxiety and just chatted with other people for a while, while she and demon played pong for a bit. When they finished and moved to a separate room I went over and introduced myself. It turns out demon and catwoman had the same first name, so I joked about them being twins and went into some more conversation topics. We ended up talking for a while, more people joined the conversation, but I was still positioned next to catwoman. I remember there was an appropriate time where I ended up brushing her arm to initiate kino, but that was it. They left to get seats, I stayed and continued conversing with the other people who had joined the group.

Eventually, I ended up back by them and ended up in a convo where catwoman was deciding if she wanted to text some socially awkward guy she thought was cute to hook up with who lived in her building. I made some joke about drunken texting, and got some smiles, but I think that was it. They ended up leaving shortly after that because it was really late.

tl;dr So overall, I still had a good night, but not exactly the results I wanted. I still need a lot more practice, especially with kino. And just a lot more practice in general, I feel this could have been a solid # close at least if I had my shit together. The sad part was, I was really enjoying the conversations toward the end, but I have no way of contacting her, and don't know entirely what she looked like because she was wearing a mask. Better try harder next time I guess.
