Alright so most of us I'm sure have had a serious case of oneitis at some point and I'm sure a ton of people still do. I'll try to make the back ground brief because I'm sure everyone has a similar story.

My oneitis case started in sophmore year of high school the first day I laid eyes on her. I can't think of anyone who has ever been able to grab my attention the way she did, my version of a 10 if you will (I know there's the science to say what is generally agreed upon for beauty but work with me on this, I'm sure you know what I'm talking about). So fast forward to the end of high school, we had been friends for a little while and might have hung out a few times. I found the balls to ask her to prom and she said yes. Prom was fun and I felt like I was on top of the world with her. It wasn't anything other then friends but showing off with her as my date was all I hoped to achieve (to beta to ask her out afterwards).

So now the college years begin, we went to different schools. I went through a couple of long term relationships but always had her in the back of my mind. Holding her in the place I did made me somewhat impervious to being hurt in other relationships just because I always thought one day I would be good enough to go and take her. We would see each other over winter and summer breaks but one of us always happened to be in a relationship so I didn't make a move during those times (In hindsight I'm thankful for this). So graduation comes and we both start working full time back home, still hanging out.

At this point I'm starting to get way more ballsy about the types of things I say to her even if she is in a relationship. I realize I may have gone a little too far one time and she seemed to give me the cold shoulder but I was just getting into the seduction community here and thought I should play the game back, Radio silence. A few months later she texts me and we start hanging out about every 6 weeks (I'm thankful for this too because I still wasn't ready mentally to go for her).

Between the radio silence and now, I've spent a great amount of time studying and PRACTICING game. I learned all about oneitis and I knew I had it bad. Recognizing you have a problem is the first step right? So I pushed her out of my head, she was no better then any other girl, I was ready to just be a friend or just not really bother with her at all any more and focus all my attentions on playing the field. I made major steps on how I viewed interactions with women and had several k closes and a ONS.

So now for the juicy part and lessons learned. A couple nights ago I decided I'd call her to grab a drink and catch up with out any intentions (outcome independent): Me: "Hey" Her: "Hi" Me: "What are you doing tonight?" Her: "Nothing" Me: "Great, we're grabbing drinks at 8:30" Her: "I like that idea" Me: "See you then" click

I picked her up and didn't even tell her where we were going until she asked. Before, in my more beta days, I would drive aimlessly asking her what she wanted to do or where she wanted to go. Not anymore, time to be more Alpha.

We had a great night of catching up, we shared where we were at in our dating lives and what we had been up to. I started using all the seduction principles I could think of. The conversation control (get distracted whenever a non male family member is mentioned, reframe), the neg (make her qualify or put her on defense), the body language (never lean in, spread legs, talk with hands), and most importantly kino (seriously, this one was the key). The interaction was starting to get intense and she dropped major IOI's (talking about sex, her body, me and her in different situations). Finally at one point she said "You know you never officially took me out on a date" my immediate response was "Wear heels, Saturday, 7:00 PM" she was floored and agreed. I drove her home shortly after and a little kissing went on (I broke off first) before we said goodnight.

Now I realize there are some things we could say I should have done differently or maybe that my oneitis isn't cured. What I do know is, I'm not jumping to get in contact with her immediately today, I'm not worried about what she's doing, if she called it off today and said she made a mistake I wouldn't even blink, and most of all I feel like I'm leading this one.

After reading this some of you might have a better idea of the lessons people should take away but here's what I'm getting out of it. If you have oneitis for a girl, put that fire out immediately, once you've learned some game and improved yourself let that flame rekindle and fan it as you see fit. All these areas of self improvement we study do work and you need to practice them constantly. The biggest thing I've learned though is stay outcome independent and remember she owes you nothing, you have to make her want to chase you.
