I find my biggest excuse for not approaching is not knowing what to say. So I decided to go up to women and see what the hell I can come up with on the spot........

Girl 1

Me: excuse me

Her: yes?

Me: ummmm how’s it goin?

Her: fine, how are you?

Me: good, bye

Girl 2 Almost walked right past this short brunette girl she was probably 4’10 but really attractive. I told her she was short and adorable. I got real nervous and told her I didn’t know what to say. But we ended up talking about golf, I was asking factual questions instead of why she likes the sports and that’s where I messed up. It was hard to concentrate because she kept on giggling at how nervous I was and that in turn made me more nervous. She had a boyfriend so no luck there.

Girl 3 I saw her on the floor below me, so I sprinted down the stairwell and almost took out a group of hipsters hoping I could get to her before I could talk myself out of approaching. “ Excuse me, but I couldn’t help but notice that everyone else is sitting in chairs while your the only one sitting on the floor”. I asked her if I could join her and she was cool with that. I focused on eye contact and leaving pauses for her to contribute more, but she wasnt interested so after about 4 minutes I wished her a goodbye and left.

Girl 4 Saw her almost fall on the ice. I used that as an opener. Told her the only way not to fall on ice is to run as fast as you can over it. After I said it she laughed and just stood there, I was surprised because usually I have to put my hand out and literally tell the girl to stop. I introduced myself and told her I know it’s weird since where all alone in an empty parkade, but i think your cute. She said thanks but you guessed it she had a boyfriend.

There was at least another 8 girls that I chickened out on approaching so if anyone has advice on how to get over that initial hurdle, and make contact or any advice on how to improve my approaches I’d greatly appreciate it.
