hey guys, this is my first FR! i read The Game in two days a year ago, memorized a few openers, used them in the field to a degree where i can just rattle them off in my sleep. the openers were the only thing that stuck, however. i didn't know what to do after the opener. a week ago i read The Game again, found Magic Bullets, got into it, found Neil's DVD set, and took notes.

Today was the first chance i had to try all the things i had learned during the week. my head was crammed with theory and i think i was a bit too wound up. anyway, we hit the club...

set 1 two HB5-6 came outside to smoke. i put out my cigarette, needed to get back inside because it was freezing, but i also needed to get my confidence up. a practice run. i opened with a newly learned "what size sweater" routine. got them talking for a few minutes, thanked them for their time and headed back in. okay, good, i know i can open. also noticed how alcohol mucks up my speech. tried to stay away from it the rest of the night.

set 2 we headed to another club, started talking to a HB6 who came up to me. wanted to try The Lying Game, she was into it - but got distracted by her friends and i didn't want to just stand there like a chump, so i went to find my friends. lesson learned: trying to just jump into NLP doesn't really work. she wasn't interested enough to return to me after getting distracted.

set 3 the pressure was getting to me, i wanted to try too many things, i wasn't in my frame at all. my wing and i headed to another bar just before last call. you know when they ding the bell to let everyone know they should clear out? that didn't exactly ease the tension i was feeling. but wing and i hung out at the bar next to a HB6 and a HB5 and i went "fuckit, let's try one last time." HB5 left HB6 alone at the counter and i went in, tried the sweater opener again. mid sentence, HB5 comes back - with a guy and introduced him to HB6. HB5 then manoeuvred herself to physically block me out of the conversation. i turned around to my wing and we kinda went "that went great. but we stayed to finish our drinks (coke for me, thank you). after a few minutes HB6 came back. she wanted to hear the rest of the sweater dilemma. ha! told her the story again, she gave her opinion, got her friend HB5 involved. i cut them off with a "how do you know each other?" because i don't really care about sweater sizes. they work together. okay, cool, i gave them the Friends Test. they wanted more tests! i headed into C vs U smiles, which i didn't really remembered and it left them - and me - confused. i shouldn't have given them more tests, don't go into entertainer mode. more small talk. HB6 grabbed the tie i was wearing. i quoted Style verbatim "hands off the merchandise, this shit aint for free". she asked what i did for a living. "male escort. you owe me $20 just for standing here talking to you." i was negging, i was cocky - borderline cold - but i wanted her to work for it. then her friend spazzed out and wanted wing and me to leave. so i turned to my wing and went "we're outta here" and left. would HB6 follow me? call me back in? i wanted to know. she did not. maybe i was too cold, not enough frame and positive energy. i need to calibrate my negs, escalate the light kino i started with the opener, not fall into entertainer mode. maybe i should have pushed another 20%, but my goal for the evening was to experiment with transitions and negs and kino.

alright, it's late and english is not my first language. words of advice, encouragement, warning?
