I was in a genuinely good relationship with someone who loved me patiently and sincerely. He treated me well, always reassured me, and never gave me a reason to doubt him. But instead of appreciating what I had, I got curious about what else was out there and convinced myself I needed something “more exciting.”

So I left.

At first, I thought I made the right choice, but over time I realized how rare real love actually is. The people I met after him never gave me the same comfort, loyalty, or peace he did. Losing him made me understand too late that I had everything I needed already.

Now my biggest regret is letting go of someone who truly loved me just because I didn’t know how to appreciate it at the time.
