Hey guys, this is my first ever post, we'll hope it goes without a hitch. So basically a couple of buddies of mine decided to head out to downtown San Jose last night and just have a good time. I had made it a point throughout the entire night to just keep up my positive energy, remind myself that I'm going to have a good time regardless, and that any girl I speak to, isn't out of my league. (This really helped calm my nerves.) Since I was going to be DD, I decided to only have a few drinks on the way up to the bar and no more than 2 inside (no need for sloppiness). Once we get inside, our group goes from 4 guys to 7 guys, after we met with some other buddies. Right away, everyone begins to grab beers and since I had no cash, I was just hanging around for a bit. I did make it a point to talk to anyone who let me introduce myself and greeted them with a nice firm handshake.

Fast forward about a few beers, a few games of flip cup and a boatload of new heads coming into the bar/patio. A buddy right away points out that there's a HB9#1 no more than 10 feet away, who just so happens to be an anchorwoman on tv (on a major network, no less). I didn't recognize her, but my friend showed me on his phone her photo. He said while he stood no chance, at least he could still check out her picture. That line alone was enough for me to just nut up and walk over.

I saw she was with a group of a girls and one guy, so I walked over and just said hello to everyone. I introduced mysel fwith handshakes all the way around and did my best to get everyone's names while joking about the spelling of their names. I hung out with that group for a good half hour or so. I hung out with HB9#1, flirted and teased her on her texting skills. She was very receptive, gave me many compliments back and I'll say this with 100% confidence, this is because I IGNORED the fact that she's on tv. I was genuinely interested in her conversation and she picked up on that. After a bunch of people coming in and out of our group, she eventually left to meet with some guy who's flaked on her plenty of times (according to her friends.) Her friends were very receptive of me and tried to convince her to stay with me, but that was a no go.

So I met back up with my friends and decided to take a wingman and open another set. We found ourselves inside by the main bar and just when we walked by, a flash went off. I realized that I justphotobombed a picture with an HB9#2 and HB8. I quickly turned and "Ladies, I'm pretty sure I just photobombed your picture." I suggested we take a another photo and I wrapped my arms around both HB's and commence photography. I introduced myself and then was quickly invited to meet the rest of the group, to more HB8's. My wingman bailed while we were taking the pictures apparently and some guy started in on the other side of the set. I immediately turned to the HB9 and whispered, "This guy's doing exactly what I'm trying to do," with a big smile on my face. She laughed and then began the small talk. I made it a point to talk to the entire set after the other guy left and I continued to tease the HB9#2.

A song came on over the speakers and she began to sing along with her friends. I asked her who the artist was and she was surprised I didn't know who it was. (Country music is not my forte.) She announced to all her friends that I didn't like country and they began to playfully boo me. So I took control, quieted all the girls and suggested that it dind't matter because by the time HB9 and I go on our first date next week, I'll know it is. HB9 responded VERY well to that and was engaged in everything I said. Fast forward some more, I once again take control of the group, tell them I'm heading back to my friends and say goodbye to them all with a handshake and a playful tease about names (similiar to the one I did when I first arrived.) I turned to the HB9, said goodbye and said something to the effect of "when we go our first date, country music blah blah blah, let me get your number." No hesitation, she enters her number and tells me to text her right away so she has my number. Sounds good to me. She writes back, now I know I don't have a fake number haha.

Things I noticed worked right away: - When I introduced myself to all the girls, I would ask how they spell their name if their name can be spelled multiple ways. You can get them to talk a little bit about themselves that way and even use it to continue conversations.

-Girls love it when you talk as if it's set in stone. I kept telling HB9#2 that when we go our first date.. blah blah blah. She would twirl her hair, smile, blush and sip on her drink. Use this! It honestly makes them feel like you know you're good looking, of value, and certainly confident.

-Never look uncomfortable. Don't look around the room frantically, pretend as if nothings on your mind except having a good time. I checked all insecurities I had at the door and there was no looking back.

I've got nothing else ATM to add, but any questions feel free to ask. I can go more in depth in conversations if anyone wants, just wanted to make sure someone read my summary first haha.
