Hi, this is my first FR, so pardon my organization.
A quick background about me--I'm 19, and for the past half year have been doing the general seddit improvements (working out, dressing well, good body language, and eye contact). Just with that I've been noticing a lot of improvements in my game, but I have yet to get any f-closes.
The day started off with me having to train a new girl for work, let’s call her HB8. The first mistake I made (or think I made) is being too stand-offish. I wanted to prevent myself from putting her on a pedestal, however, went a bit too far and might have been a bit of a jerk. So, I want to remember to be warm and inviting but still call her out on her shit. This made the entire interaction a bit awkward and there was always a bit of distance between us after.
However, here is where I met HB7. I had opened her previously and today she smiled and ran up to me. We talked for a bit and then she asked me out for lunch. I #-closed her, but she seemed a bit reluctant—she said that she would just meet me down there, but still put her number in my phone. After this interaction HB8 opened up to me much more and even asked me to walk her to her car. I refused—partially because this seemed like a shit test, and partially because I had lunch soon with HB7. I regret not #-closing here because I got too caught up in HB7. I have to remember to keep all options open and take all chances when they present themselves, otherwise, this is a one-way train to oneitisville.
Lunch was decent, yet confusing. First—never have lunch with someone you want to close, it just screams friend. I learned that the hard way. During lunch, I made solid eye contact, tried to push and pull with body language, but essentially just talked like she was a friend. We covered F.O.R.D (Family, Occupation, Recreation, Dreams). After an hour, she said that she’s been keeping me too long—Note: never let the conversation die out. Always leave on a high note and leave her wanting more. Thus, when I asked her if she wanted to hang out sometime later, she quickly cut me off and said that lunch again would be nice.
So, where should I go from here? I will see this girl every week, should I go to lunch with her again and try to set a day1 from here or just text her about something and try to set up something that way?
Lessons Learned: 1. Be warm and inviting, but don’t put her on a pedestal. 2. Wingwomen or social proof works like magic. Always try to have girls around you. It’s like how girls always have orbiters, and that makes guys try harder to get their attention 3. Take all opportunities and never give up one for one girl 4. Create a time constrain and leave on a high note 5. NEVER do lunch unless you can bounce somewhere else after with the girl. 6. ESCALATION, ESCALATION, ESCLATION. I think I might have lost this girl because I didn’t escalate physically or verbally.
