Over the past couple of years I have felt my self-confidence drop significantly. All throughout high school I had pretty low self-confidence due to toxic friendships. When I went out of state for college I felt my confidence rising as I pushed myself to do more and more in this new area and expanded my friend group. Meeting new people wasn't a problem and talking to girls I didn't know didn't seem difficult at all. Maybe I was in an easier environment for conversations when I was in a fraternity but it was never a problem until I was in my last year of school. I started getting in my head about graduating and for some reason starting conversations seemed harder than they were before.

Graduation definitely didn't help as I moved out to the suburbs for work and the only times I was around people my age was maybe once a week when I went to bars with college friends. Whenever I go out though I can't work up the courage to talk to people I don't know and end up getting upset about it and drinking until I don't think about it anymore. I have gotten a bit better as I have worked on improving myself as I read a few posts on here that it is a major part.

I was wondering if anyone had some other tips on top of this to help get my self-confidence back to the point where I don't get too into my head about approaching someone new.
