I've recently started my first corporate job, and as such I've been traveling a lot. I've always struggled with approaching strangers but I've found that recently I've been more motivated to engage with people to practice my conversational skills (mostly what topics get the other person talking, and engaging remarks / stories to keep things going)

I had a great talk with a beautiful woman sitting next to me on a flight, it was a small step but actually engaging with a mature female and not someone I met in college felt like a lot to me. But I pressed on, we had a great talk over the course of a 3 hour flight and at the end we said goodbye and parted ways, it isn't significant but it was a reassuring confidence boost knowing I can do this. Looking forward to engaging with more people in the future, airports are great because it's a shirt time frame and I will likely never see the other person again.
