I think this is a common sticking point for a lot of people, definitely for me, and I'm looking for advice. I'm 19, in college, and looking to pick up some girls. I've had a couple of girlfriends before, but mostly as a result of a long and arduous process of hesitancy and awkwardness. I just want to be as straightforward and fun as I know I can be.

I deal with quite a bit of approach anxiety, but once that's over and I'm familiar with someone (classmates, friends, etc) I know I'm a really fun, witty, creative and energetic guy. It's just, I don't want to have to spend that time 'getting to know someone' to be in a comfortable state. I've been dealt a shitty hand of being attractive, and not knowing what to do with it. I mean, hell. I just passed up a perfect opportunity to get with a girl yesterday! Was at the bank getting paperwork signed with my grandfather (he needs someone with him) and I kept getting flirtatious looks from the notary (several years older than me ~24) and the teller. The notary was all giggly each time I joked with my grandpa, and even jumped into our conversations a few times. The teller had to sign as a witness, and gave me a really flirty look and smile as she walked back to the counter.

I know I have the potential, it's just I freeze in situations where I could have easily acted with a high degree of success. There's a girl I'm going to talk to that I've seen at my gym (is also in one of my classes) during said class, but I'm looking for ways to easily 'get in the zone' and stop over thinking everything / freezing / etc.
