I was about 16 years old, grade 11 in high school. There was a girl named Kim, and my god was she beautiful. I used to go over to her house every Friday night with a couple other people; we would hang out, smoke shisha talk etc. Little did she know I was completely in love with her! The emotions I had for her at this point have been building for a few years. I strongly believed that that point that if I were to keep hanging out with her, keep doing super sweet things for her, MAYBE, JUST MAYBE SHE WOULD LIKE ME. Fast forward a year to my school prom. Everyone had a date… everyone but me. I was waiting for the perfect time and the perfect moment to ask Kim to prom. It had to be perfect (just like the movies told me). I believed that maybe if I wowed her, I could get her to fall in love with me too! Soo I did what any love struck teenager did, I did something crazy. I asked her out to prom in a song on a mixtape. BRUUUUUUUUUUH!!!! I know what you’re thinking. She thought it was so sweet and said yes!! WRONG!!!!! She got red, laughed a little, looked at me dead in my eyes and told me she just wanted to be friends. It broke my heart, after that I promised myself to never get stuck in the friend zone again. Time after time however, I seemed to be in the same position.. Being best friends with the girls I liked. I decided the change the way I act around women.. In short I stopped acting like a beta male.. 3 years later I ran into Kim, funny enough I actually ended up hooking up with her. It actually wasn’t that hard once I figured out what to do. So now it’s my turn to give back. I got rid of my approach anxiety, I gained a lot of confidence. I realized that this is my world, and everyone else is just living in it. I started to believe that, everything started falling in place! Anyway it’s all about confidence! You need to push through the BS and realize that everyone in the world should be lucky to be around you. Walk around like that and I promise girls will be lining up to talk to you!
