When you show up, jokingly say something along the lines of "haha, do I even know anyone else?" Or "introduce me to your friends!" Find a group and for lack of a better term "flourish" and be popular in that group, even if it's not your jokes everyone is laughing at laugh with them, even if they're not listening to your stories ask them about theirs, that way when she swings back around to check on you (which she probably will if you guys are friends or she's interested) make it look like you fit in and belong there, like you fit in with her friends, that way she'll think you'll fit in with her, then, if you get a chance to speak to her alone, like if she's making a drink, you can start complimenting the party, and if she sticks around to chat then either go back to the first group or find another group, make sure she knows that you enjoy her company, but your world doesn't end if she leaves, from there I guess it depends on her reactions, the type of girl she is, and what the other circumstances are, just follow your gut, look for signs of attraction and hint. Ninja Edit: part of what I was trying to say also is to not depend on her to have fun at the party, but don't just shrug her off

disinterest creates interest. That being said, enjoy your time and if she isn't down, see if there are any other cools girls at the party.

talk to other women at the party and hit on them and grab their info if you're interested. Do not shy away if the host comes around, and if shes interested in you, she will.
