So I've recently joined a sports club for my university this semester and there's a few pretty cute girls in there. The first few practices I was just sorta getting to know people but I was kinda anxious/shy bc of my skill level and a lot of these people have much more experience in the club than myself.

I had always seen this really pretty girl there but never really had any chance to meet her/talk to her. But last night something was different, (I actually started taking adderall recently for my adhd and was having a fantastic day being super clear headed and present but that's not really relevant) I was not anxious at all this time and I was holding really good conversations with people at practice and everyone seemed REALLY receptive to me for some reason idk why. Probably bc i just wasn't overthinking everything and was able to focus on conversing.

Anyways, I was on a role. I had that good social proof going since I was chatting up and joking with practically everyone and them with me, and I was acting a little aloof to the hot girl I mentioned before while chatting everyone around her up (she was next in line to me during the drill we were doing but i didn't start talking to her or even pay any attention to her for like 20min ). So eventually i was like fuck it and I just started talking to her and she was VERY receptive, like her face lit up when I'd start talking to her, we had pretty good conversation ab the club the sport and school, I made some jokey comments and she seemed to find them funny etc. . There was good effort from her in the conversation too, so much so to the point that when it was her turn to go up in the drill she didn't even notice bc she was busy talking to me lmao it was like she was more focused on talking to me than the practice.

After the drill was over we were all gathering together listening to the club leader on what we were doing next. I went a little away from the group to get some water and as I came back over she happened to be right in front of me and she turned around just as I came over and she asked "do you want to be my partner?" And I was like "oh partners? sure" even though I had no idea what we were doing lol. But then the leaders wanted me and her to go with different people. I actually got swapped around to like 3 different partners in like 30 seconds , I just made a joke about how I felt like a whore being passed around and then I got focused into the game and being social with the people I was with, was having a really good time.

Later into the game she was nearby and I asked her what her name was and she said "[cuteGirlName] . You're [shortFor]? right? Or is it [fullName]?" I kinda switch between the two names around the club. I said "you can call me either, I don't really have a preference" and then I said with a bit of a cocky grin " you could call me [anotherShortVersionOfMyName]. Nobody else here calls me that if you want to be unique" and she said "Oh I'll definitely call you that now", and then it was my turn up. I didn't really talk to her for the rest of of practice, she did come over and deliberately stand next to me at the very end of practice when we had one large game going and people were getting "out" and gathered up on the sidelines to spectate, but I didn't really say much to her, I was busy talking to some other people and watching the game. Then we all went home lol

I did notice however (and this really could be absolutely nothing) that when she was leaving I caught a glimpse of her walking towards the exit with this other guy in the club who I met only a few times and is pretty cool, really interesting dude and is pretty good looking, also he's best player in the club, like dude is a literal chad lmao. My mind IMMEDIATELY went "fuck" bc I figured he was her ride to practice and they were leaving together or something. But it's a dumb assumption bc we literally all have to walk the exact same path to get to our cars so.

Anyways, I looked her up on IG and facebook and i didn't see anything that indicated she had a bf or anything. She did have a yt channel where she posts music covers of her playing guitar and singing, which I do the same!. So that kinda knocked her off the pedestal a little bit for me bc now instead of seeing her as "hot pretentious girl" I see her as "little bit quirky and good personality girl", who is also hot lol. But now I'm really interested in getting to know her.

TBH I wanted to know what people think of my interaction w her? My gut is telling me something could be there, but I feel like maybe I haven't warmed her up enough yet, I feel like we need a little more tension before I make an obvious shot like asking for her #, ya know? I want to build up that attraction real good and solid before breaking the tension. But I definitely felt some energy there when interacting w her.
