I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on this, as it's been something I've been thinking about lately. I've been wearing glasses for some time, and I've noticed that rarely are men portrayed in the media as being 'attractive' when wearing glasses. Time and time again, I am aware of the fact that whether it's celebrity photos, or modeling photos, or just general media, men are rarely portrayed as attractive while wearing glasses. It's invariably the nerdy, smart, goofy guy who wears the glasses. Obviously this isn't universal, but seems to be the norm.

I've asked girls what they think and they always are like "I love a guy in glasses!" but I also have learned to not to trust a woman about what she finds attractive. I've even put up a picture on OkCupid without glasses, and I feel like since I have, I get more contacts from women, and more women complimenting my appearance.

Is this a thing? Do glasses put you at a disadvantage, even if it's a subconscious response from women? Just wondering peoples thoughts.
