Floss and cleaning your tongue

Good hygiene (brushing your teeth) is a must, then it's what ever you like to use. I recommend a good mint gum; my favorite right now is Orbit Sweetmint. (I'd like to find something different though because it contains Aspartame)

Floss twice a week. Before you brush...
Normally I do it Wednesday, and then either Friday or Saturday, depending on which day I go out.

I've tried gum, mints, tic-tacs, etc. and I'm not sure which to use.
First of all.
Brush your fucking tongue.
I cannot even put into words how bad your breath is going to be if you don't brush your tongue.

Floss every day, twice.
Clean in between your teeth because your toothbrush simply cannot do it.

Buy and use a tongue scraper. Floss. Your toothbrush can't get in those crevices. It really doesn't matter if you floss before or after you brush, but you should mouthwash right after you floss (get the crap loose, then wash it away). There are many sides to the "floss before or after brushing" debate and the experts can't agree. Basically some say brushing after gets rid of the loose crap, some say it puts it back in the spaces. Either way, using mouthwash right after works well.
Drink lots of water throughout the day (a dry mouth will build bacteria). I think I've read something about certain types of gum -- not sure if it's the sugar free or the sugar-ful kinds that do this -- but one of them I think causes bad breath after you chew it. Might wanna look that up.
If you want to take it to the next level, keep some travel mouthwash on you and use it after meals.
