There's a girl in my class who I've mostly only exchanged smiles and what not and never really got a chance to talk to too much. So I got my chance after class today and we chatted as we walked to the parking lot. Instead of just walking to my car and doing nothing I gathered my testicular fortitude and asked her if she would be interested in a coffee date. She said she couldn't with a pained look on her face flashed me her engagement ring.

Now the me of last year would of been sullen and upset for the rest of the day but instead I just said "Well, I tried. Cya" and couldn't wipe the smile off my face on the car ride home. Instead of looking at rejection as something negative, I was so proud of myself for having the balls to try and it was much better than not doing anything and wondering what if.
