Girls will flake unless you build a good amount of rapport before number closing. Imagine a failed marriage between two high school sweethearts that got knocked up. She says yes to the engagement because they've been dating for 2 years and she's pregnant, but not because she's necessarily excited to spend the rest of her life with this guy. It's similar when asking a girl on a date. You dance with her, crack some jokes, and say hey lets hang out sometime. Of course she'll say sure, she's having fun. But two days later when she has an exam to study for, work the next morning, 4 other orbiters texting her, and her girlfriends asking if she wants to go get hammered next weekend, you'd better be Cassanova in her eyes or she's gonna use those 2 hours to take a nap instead of get coffee with some mildly attractive guy she kind of remembers dancing with. Build some rapport. Think of that first dance as the start of your first date. You're not trying to get her number or score a date. You're trying to see if she's worthy of your time while showcasing yourself so she can make the same decision. You'll get the second date if this interaction goes well. You want her to be excited to see you again, not feel obligated. As for this girl, wait a couple of weeks. Hit her up again and invite her to do something fun. If she says yes, awesome. If not, there's a million girls waiting to be loved.
