So I met this girl a few weeks ago at a party I was hosting (being the host loads the odds in your favor every time if you're willing to step up to the plate. Seriously.) and we've hung out a few times since then. Last night she invited me over to help her with a paper for one of her classes and to use me as a drawing subject. Once all that was out of the way, she pours a few gin and tonics for us (definitely a keeper) and before long we're fooling around on her bed. Things are starting to get pretty intense when she presses herself back up against me and breathes into my shoulder "I really like... talking to you." I freeze for just a second because this definitely doesn't feel like the "hold on, back up a sec" that the phrase would imply.

"Yeah?"

"Yeah. I didn't think I'd be OK with all this (sexual stuff), but I am because I just really like who you are. As a person."

It clicked right then that charm and compatibility can trump just about any pre-held expectations. It felt damn good to know that this girl was enthusiastic about being intimate with me just because she liked who I am so much.

I want to reiterate that people who think that this "game" is about manipulating people and hacking social patterns are completely wrong. Seduction is about molding yourself into a quality person. The kind of person that is seductive in who they are, not what they are. Once you're proud of who you are, there's almost no way anyone around you will see otherwise either.

Secondarily, you're not looking to just get laid. Trust me. You're looking for other quality people. The ones who will look for and see that you're someone of good stock as well. Those are the ones you want to keep an eye out for and on.
